In Tokyo recognized as Shinto Teito in the year 2020, 19-year old Minato Sahashi is very intelligent, yet because of his inability to cope under pressure has failed the college entrance test twice.Minato meets a girl named Musubi, who actually falls in the heavens one day. Minato soon learns that she's a "Sekirei" who picked him as her "Ashikabi", among the cryptic group of individuals that possess the inherited characteristic who is able to create a deal - by kissing - with the Sekirei. This enables them to use their total power in removal conflicts with other Sekirei and binds the Sekirei to him. On board, the pair had discovered 108 lifeforms, explained as "One pillar and 107 baby birds".
